Organize large rooms into zones of activities. In a living room you may be watching the television, reading or playing games. Center a sofa grouping around the television. Plan another area with a games table. Add a separate area for reading with a lounger or recliner and task lamp. Anchor furnishings and give more definition to the interior with area carpets. Plants and screens will also help to distinguish areas.
